luma bug
i made a little bleeping bug that is ike a little creature crawling out of the book and is perhaps telling you the secrets of the book. i embedded a light-sensitive theremin inside, allowing it to respond to changes in illumination. a flashlight acts as a controller, altering the pitch and frequency as it moves across the surface.
the theremin circuit consists of an arduino, a light sensor, and a small speaker, wired together on a breadboard and carefully arranged within the book. the sound varies based on light intensity, creating an interactive experience where the book produces tones instead of text.
by combining electronics with this mysterious object (an antique german book, as part of a trilogy, that i once found when i was seeking lithographs about geology, botany and cartography), something mystical takes place.
i programmed multiple bug symphonies:
the adhd bug
the running through the jungle bug
the bug on acid
the alchemical bug
i will upload all sound soon :)
